    • About Guji

In the southeastern Oromia region of Ethiopia lies Guji, a zone that's rapidly gaining recognition in the specialty coffee world. The Deri Kidame Washing Station, located in the Wamena district of Hambella, is at the forefront of this exciting coffee frontier.

Guji's untouched forests have resulted in exceptionally fertile, redbrown soil. The high altitude slows coffee maturation, leading to fewer cherries per tree but intensifying flavor development. This unique terroir contributes to the coffee's complexity and distinctive taste profile.

Under the guidance of Station Manager Kenzu Ahmed, Deri Kidame primarily produces natural processed coffees. The station boasts 181 drying beds and multiple fermentation tanks for both Anaerobic and Carbonic Maceration processes, showcasing their commitment to quality and innovation.

    • About Tracon Trading
