About
Fazenda Sertão boasts a unique legacy. Led by the inspiring Nazareth, the farm became a pioneer in empowering women within the coffee industry. Though she is no longer with us, her vision continues to thrive under the care of her family and supporters.
Nestled in Brazil's high-altitude regions, Fazenda Sertão enjoys an average temperature of 18ºC. Strategically planted on hilltops with slopes reaching 50%, their crops are naturally protected against winter frosts and fungal infections, ensuring superior quality beans.
The rugged terrain of Fazenda Sertão necessitates mostly hand-picking of ripe coffee cherries among other safer harvesting methods. This meticulous selection ensures only the finest beans are chosen. These precious cherries then undergo a careful drying process on raised beds, monitored for uniform moisture levels.
