Roasting coffee is a complex craft.
The first and most important step in roasting is to know what you are looking for. Join us as we go through the basics of coffee roasting theory, how to transfer that knowledge to any roasting machine and finally achieving the final result that we are looking for in the cup.
This 6hr class is mixed in with both practical and theory knowledge taught simultaenously. Participants will first go through a round of cupping to understand coffee quality analysis and what to look for in the cup when aiming for certain results in the roast. This will be followed by a hands on roasting trial on the Bella Taiwan XJ-101S Roaster where participants will gain a better feel and understanding over the fundamental theories and knowledge covered in the class.
Instructor to student ratio for the class is 1 : 3. Please contact us separately at firstname.lastname@example.org for larger group bookings of more than 3 pax, we will arrange for additional instructors and equipment to ensure that every student is given adequate attention from the instructors and hands-on time with the machines.
